My name is Sarah Senn, and I am the full-time nurse at Paredes Middle School. I have been a pediatric nurse for more than 13 years. I have a master's degree in nursing education from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. I have working in a variety of specialties both inside and outside the hospital. School nursing is fun and rewarding area of nursing. I am always happy to answer your questions and concerns that arise during the year.

Helpful information:
- If your child has asthma, seizures, type 1 diabetes, or a history of significant allergies (food, insects, etc.) than we request that you complete a new form each year. (See below)
- Middle school students are not allowed to carry medications in their backpacks (exception for inhalers with health room approval). If your child needs medication to be available on campus, please complete the medication authorization form below. Contact me for any questions.
- Students entering 7th grade will need to have a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis) within the past 5 years and a Meningococcal vaccine (meningitis). This is a state mandated requirement for all incoming 7th graders. Please email, fax or send a copy of your child's immunization records prior to the beginning of the school year. (Texas Minimum Vaccine Requirements for Students Grades K-12)
- Parents and students seeking exemptions from vaccination can visit the Texas Department of State Health Services website for more information and to apply for an affidavit. We must have the original affidavit turned into the front office to be compliant.
