Join us at Austin ISD Connect FEST on March 8th

Connect FEST is a community event aimed at connecting families with educational programs, services, and support systems within our schools, strengthening the bond between the community and the school district. 

The event will feature six interactive stations designed to engage and inform families in a fun, educational way.

Stations include:

• Basic Concepts Station: Learn key public education concepts like repurposing, recapture, school finance, and the impact of voting on education through fun activities.

• ED TALKS Station: Short talks by the Superintendent and other district leaders including Austin ISD’s Finance, Governance, and Talent Strategy. These talks will be multilingual, and we will be offering interpretation services.

• Mini Showcase Station: Highlighting programs like P-Tech, CTE, and Dual Language at elementary, middle, and high school levels.

• Resource Fair: Community booths with resources and services.

• Kids’ Station: Interactive activities and fun games for kids to learn about civic engagement and basic financial concepts.

• Food Truck Station: Free meals from two different international food trucks and pizza slices for kids. We will offer vegetarian options. There will also be live entertainment like dance groups, Marching Band Drumlines, children's choirs, and much more!

There will be many activities for kids, gifts, and plenty of information to explore. Best of all, the FOOD and TRANSPORTATION are completely FREE!

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES from DELCO CENTER at 9:30 am (4601 Pecan Brook Dr., Austin, TX 78724) and ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL (8403 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78759) will be available.

Austin ISD Connect FEST es un evento comunitario diseñado para conectar a las familias con programas educativos, servicios y sistemas de apoyo dentro de nuestras escuelas, fortaleciendo el vínculo entre la comunidad y el distrito escolar. El evento contará con seis estaciones interactivas diseñadas para involucrar e informar a las familias de una manera divertida y educativa.

Las estaciones incluyen:

• Estación de Conceptos Básicos: Aprende conceptos clave como reutilización de espacios, recuperación, las finanzas del distrito escolar y el impacto de votar en la educación a través de actividades divertidas.

• Estación de Charlas Educativas (ED TALKS): Charlas cortas por el Superintendente y otros líderes del distrito escolar incluyendo Finanzas, Gobernanza y Estrategia del Talento de Austin ISD. Estas charlas serán multilingües y ofreceremos servicios de interpretación simultánea.

• Estación Mini Showcase: Resaltando programas como P-Tech, CTE y Dual Language en niveles de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria.

• Feria de Recursos: Stands de la comunidad con recursos y servicios.

• Estación para Niños: Actividades interactivas para que los niños aprendan sobre participación cívica y conceptos financieros básicos.

• Estación de Comida: Comidas gratis de carritos de comida internacional y rebanadas de pizza para los niños. Ofreceremos opciones vegetarianas. También habrá entretenimiento en vivo, como grupos de baile, bandas de tambores, coros infantiles y ¡mucho más!

Habrá muchas actividades para niños, regalos y mucha información para explorar. ¡Lo mejor de todo es que la COMIDA y el TRANSPORTE son completamente gratis!

EL SERVICIO DE AUTOBUSES para transporte de las familias será del DELCO CENTER (4601 Pecan Brook Dr., Austin, TX 78724) y de ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL (8403 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78759) a las 9:30 am.
