What is the Campus Advisory Council (CAC)?
Paredes is looking for members to join the Campus Advisory Council (CAC). AISD Campus Advisory Councils are committees of parents, students, business and community representatives, teachers, principals, and other campus staff. Click the flyer below to learn more!
The CAC is charged with the responsibility of making recommendations to the Paredes MS Principal that improve the educational opportunities at Paredes. Please note that the CAC is an advisory committee, not a decision-making body. The Paredes Principal, ultimately, has decision-making responsibility for the campus.
The CAC is charged with discussing and providing feedback and guidance on topics that relate to the following areas reviewed and updated annually:
- Planning (Campus Improvement Plan)
- Budgeting
- Curriculum
- Staff Development
- Staffing Patterns
- School Organization
Once feedback and recommendations are made regarding discussed topics, the Paredes Principal will make decisions that will also include input from others such as the Administrative Team, Cabinet, Leadership Team, and/or Faculty. After the Principal reaches decisions, a report will be shared with Paredes CAC.
What is the commitment?
The CAC meets every 3rd Thursday (except in December) after school starting at 5pm to discuss each of these important items. If you are interested in joining the CAC as a Parent Representative, please fill out this link HERE
