Ms. Kiara Blain is our new Project Specialist here at Paredes Middle School. She is from East Tennessee and moved to Austin in summer 2020. She has a bachelor's degree in Human Ecology from Tennessee Tech University and a master’s from The University of Texas at Austin in Educational Leadership and Policy. While in Austin, she worked two years with college students in University Housing and one year with middle schoolers at Mendez Middle School. 

Here on our campus, Ms. Blain will be helping with various projects and initiatives across campus. She will be assisting the admin team with new practices and improving our overall campus. Share with her any and all new ideas you have for Paredes! Ms. Blain looks forward to working with the staff, students, and parents this school year!

In her personal life, Ms. Blain likes to spend her time with her friends and her younger sister. She enjoys trying as many new places to eat, especially if they have tacos! Her favorite season is Fall because it has football, haunted houses, thanksgiving, her birthday, and the beginning of the Christmas season. Catch her on the couch on Sunday afternoons watching the Titans game and the UT (both Tennessee & Texas) games on Saturdays!
