School Breakfast Week March 7-11
Puma Parents!! AISD is celebrating School Breakfast Week March 7-11, 2021. This week provides a great opportunity to remind families that both breakfast and lunch are free for all students this school year. Elementary School Promotion:
Access to Healthy Food During Spring Break
With many AISD students living in food-insecure households, access to healthy food may be challenging when the district is closed. Families can use the community resources below to find free meals in their area while AISD offices and schools are closed for Spring Break:
Mask Mandate Survey
In light of the sharp decline in COVID-19 cases, the district is anticipating the need to begin considering revisiting our health and safety protocols, which currently include mandatory masking.
Two hour delay Thursday, Feb. 24
Because of expected weather and road conditions, we will delay the start time for classes, buses and offices by two hours tomorrow, Feb. 24.
Spring Break Attendance Challenge
Students, we will begin our Spring Break Attendance Challenge. It will start February 22nd through March 8th, 2022. We will raffle a 3-day dress down bracelet for March 9th, 10th, & 11th. Come to school every day to be entered into our raffle!
Inclement Weather
AISD is committed to the health and safety of our students and staff. Due to the anticipated inclement weather conditions, which will make roads unsafe for travel, all district offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Healthy Heart Week
This is a district-wide opportunity to be well and do good by encouraging heart-healthy activities and experiences for students, staff, and the community.
Academy Fair (8th GR)
Due to AKINS High School in-person Academy Fair being cancelled on January 19, 2022, Akins High School will be hosting a virtual presentation via Zoom on Monday, January 24, 2022 starting at 6:30 p.m.
